About Bengal Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS
Bengal Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (BNPL) is a non-governmental organization based in Calcutta, India that focuses on advocacy. This state-level network spreads awareness of the disease for better understanding and less ostracism by the community so that infected people will get treatment. BNPL is affiliated by Indian Network for People Living With HIV/AIDS and supported by West Bengal State Aids Prevention And Control Society. It is a round the clock service organization that provides all types of help.
BNPL networks with various non-governmental organizations, governments and corporations. It advocates for issues like education for children, proper treatment, widows rights, and community service delivery. BNPL fights to stop persecution of persons with HIV and AIDS. It encourages and assists those infected to obtain healthcare treatment. In addition, BNPL hosts plays, music shows, conventions, videos, marathons, rallies and community-based trainings. It has the support of celebrity endorsers too who fight for the rights of HIV and AIDS people to lessen discrimination.
